Prof. Dr. Atilla Hıncal has received "Lifetime Achievement of Pharmaceutical Sciences" award of FIP on August 27, 2006 in Salvador de Bahia, Brasil. This award has been given every other year to the scientist who has spend tremendous and long lasting efforts for development of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Prof. Dr. Atilla Hıncal graduated from the University of İstanbul, Faculty of Pharmacy in 1964 and he has completed his PhD thesis in 1967 at the same faculty. He has got an Assoc. Prof. Dr. title in 1974 at the University of Hacettepe, Faculty of Pharmacy. He became a full Professor in 1979.

He has been in several editorial boards of many scientific journals and he has been taking an active role in many Pharmaceutical organizations including FIP. He has been a member of Spanish Royal Pharmacy Academy since 1997. He has also received a honorary PhD title from University of Romania, Faculty of Carol Davila Medicine and Pharmacy on July 12, 2006. He has also nominated for the Turkish Pharmacy Organization award for 2006.
